Why do they go away…

Life is a journey where we meet different kinds of people at the many proverbial stations we stop by.  At times, we feel kinship with those of same frequency as ours and the journey becomes wonderful by sharing our privy thoughts and expressing our inner world. But, by the time we get to understand the other person completely and develop a dependency on them for filling the void of emptiness, their station arrives and they depart away suddenly without saying a goodbye or stating any clear reason while we expected a long-lasting togetherness.

It’s when we deeply regret losing someone who once touched our soul and made a place in our heart. We feel more alone than before because of an added feeling of longing. And for the same reason, we ask one simple question with our sinking heart – ‘why???’

However, there is no reason as to why those who were once so close have disappeared in the throng forever. Yet there’s a very important perspective which deserves consideration. In the process of speaking our heart and mind to someone else, we get to discover our own selves little by little. Whenever a person goes away, he leaves us a little closer with ourselves. Only that, we hardly notice this difference, because we look outside more than inside, we seek more than we search and we think more than we feel.

Sometimes, people meet us just to make us learn something because the experiences are ordained by fate to make us more mature, more conversant, although we may keep regretting for not having received any material benefit. But, if we focus our mind, our energy entirely on learning from every experience, from every person that comes across, we would stop regretting short term journeys with the people in comparison to the entire journey of life which is cherishable.
