Shadow
The sordid day awakens with a painful reality,
pleasant is the night to show a dream that blurs unjust cruelty.
An unseen face, just what I know about you
keeps changing the portrait of my canvas from the last I drew.
Nameless is the relation that together we hold
carries a majestic glare intense more than the glint of gold.
Feelings still reach the heart for only they are true,
though the words got lost on the wind as it blew.
You tell me about your world, I confide in you mine,
not in reality but in dream do which entwine.
For the longing of body, my innocent soul grimaces
to search you beyond a silly fiction, my heart races.
I embark on a path which may lead to your elusive existence,
but happens something which transcends your physical absence.
The icy water of the shower strangely curves along my wretched form,
that hears the sound of the falling trickle, I wonder is your phantom.
The towel is undraped by illusive reflection fixed in the mirror,
redeems my body the slow movement of your hazy shimmer.
Frisking the wardrobe, I have a thought unclear,
if someone could tell me which dress should I wear.
The desirous eyes seem to track my every move
a silent whisper telling your choice stands to prove.
With profound thy love my jewels I choose
and start a day bright midst the winter blues.
The journey to seek your physical presence ends here
when the vision defeats reality to surpass every worldly frontier.
Now, there’s just one thought I carry wherever I go
Somewhere, somehow you’re watching me like an invisible shadow…
